i havnt heard  of brayton hospital  but i do know of gateforth hospital which is close to selby. gateforth hospital was a tb hospital, and an isolation hospital during the war it's  probably this hospital your father  can remember

in May 1907 a real photographic postcard(almost certainly produced by the sender)  was sent to mrs richard kilham junior, denton??[can't read] hall , tydd st mary wisbech cambs  --- in the message she states  - some of my patients at the consumptive Sanatorium at Gateforth  kindest regards to you and Richard   .... can't read the name of the sender.

the postcard shows a dozen gardeners  with tools . the postcard was posted at Leeds
