Ann Ellis was born in 1813, she is the daughter of Watson Ellis and Racheal Wood. I have one of their children born in 1839 as Cornelius Foulds, so I think I am looking for another entry. Thanks.

Hi, I have the following entry from the Shipley Parish register.

Parish Church of Shipley, Entry No 57.

John Foulds, Bachelor, Clogger, of this Parish and Ann Ellis, Spinster, of this Parish were married in this church by Banns with consent of _______ this twentieth day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty two by me Thomas Newbury.
This marriage is solomized between us John Foulds , Ann Ellis, In the Presence of Joseph Speak, William Foulds.

I am looking for more details on this family. Does anyone have access to the 1841 Census that shows this family, or any baptism records showing the birth of John

This is all really good information, thanks. The HOLGATE name is totally new to me.  I have found the marriage

Betty Foulds - (X), of Colne

which appears to be right. Could someone please see if this family are on the 1841 and 1851 census records.

I can't seem to find a baptism for Betty that would fit with John and Mary as her parents.

Now I have a birth year of abt 1782 for John Foulds, I also need to try and find his baptism.

It is so good to finally make a little  headway with this line, thanks to all

Hi, I have a note made long ago about a will of a John Fox of Branthwaite. John will have been born late 1600's and died in the 1700's. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of this will from.

Thanks, I did not have Watson's christening date before, nor did I know about Sarah. I have two other children Ann Ellis and Mary Ellis. I am guessing there may be others. Now I need to find more about Jane, Watson's mother, and still try and obtain a little more on Rachael Wood. I do have other Wood families in my line from Sowerby so perhaps there is a link there. Thanks again.

Thanks Rosie, I had not come across  that site before. It looks like that is the John and Mary I am looking for. I did a search for children and find several which match. The occupation of John on them all, inc the marriage is weaver so hopefully this is the right one. Now I need to delve a little further as I would like birth details for John and Mary(Burrows). It is interesting to see on the marriage record the witness of James Ellis. One of their children married an Ellis, I wonder if there is a connection here.

Is there any records of the 1841 census on line so I can try and find my Foulds family on there.

Hi, I would like any information I can on the FOX family of Dean. Sarah Fox b 1730 in Dean married Martin Rogers. Sarah's dad could be Lancellot Fox b 1701 in Dean, son of John Fox. I would like help in any part of this Fox line.

Hi, I am trying to find some more details on Watson Ellis, son of Jane and Rachel Wood. Watson was born 1792 in Bradford, I don't have any details of Rachel's birth. They married on 13/5/1811 in Calverly. Any information on this couple would be gratefully recieved.
