Hi Geordilass.
My Grandmother was Jane Ann Beattie, actual birthplace in cumberland unknown, she was born around 1880 and married to Joseph Clark Hetherington in Great Clifton, Cumberland, It is quite possible we are related , they had I think; 12 Children. If you find anything interesting in your searches I would be grateful to hear from you because as of now, I have hit a wall......................Thanks...............Lawrence

Mary Hayston born 1739 in Workington.
Daniel Cannon born 1808, possibly Staffordshire
Rebecca Sherwen born 1811, possibly Staffordshire
I would really appreciate any help on this.

Hello PHL, When was your G Grandfather born and Where. Because Robert Stockdale's Father was James, born 1740 probably in Cheshire

I am researching Mary Wharton, born:1763 Bridekirk and married to Robert Stockdale born:1761 Wigton, they had among their children, a Elizabeth b:1787 in Bridekirk, she was my GGGGGgrandmother and I am trying to establish a link to the De Querton family  in Cumberland.     Lawrence

Hello there Mike E, I hope you still read the replies. I am researching my GGGGG Grandmother, Mary Hayston b:1739 in Workington, and Married Robert Telford in 1763 at Distington, you seem to have a lot of information in the 1800's I wonder if you know anything or have discussed the 1700's, I would appreciate any information at all because I and many others in the Telford clan have hit a wall completely.
