The 1851 Census indicates birth as Netherton; Dudley, Worcestershire, England.
I am trying to locate a baptism record for him. He MAY have been baptised 30 Sept 1804 at St Thomas Dudley Worcestershire but I cannot seem to locate any documents to conform this.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you LizzieL and ColC.

There are several Williams. And with Dixon being spelt in quite a few different spellings, unravelling the details has not been easy. Regarding “Jason Dixon s/o William married Eliza Millin in Nov 1851. Is the Jason Millin (lodger) with Martha in 1851, a relative of his future wife? Jason Dixon appears to be in Oxford gaol in 1851” Jason Dixon was my 2nd great-grandfather. He was indeed in Oxford gaol in 1850 and then again in 1851. Between 1852 and 1857, there were at least 5 court cases he was involved. A bit of a Jack the lad!!

No need to Apologize. Let’s face it some of these documents are not easy to read. I am just grateful for any replies.
I will print all comments and review accordingly.
My thanks to both of you.

Thank you garstonite and CoIC,
Garstonite
As far as I can tell William and Jane it is thought they MAY of had at least 4 children.
They are all of Ramsden, but I am uncertain about Jane and Ann!
Mary 1803 baptised 23 Oct 1803 Shipton Under Wychwood (of Ramsden).
Jane 1808 baptised Northleigh 11 Sep 1808 (of Ramsden) Northleigh is approx. As the crow fly's is about 2 miles from Ramsden.
Ann (Dixson) 1811 baptised Leafield 24 Mov 1811 (of Ramsden) Leafield is about 50 miles from Ramsden.
Elizabeth 1813 baptised 19 Oct 1813 Shipton Under Wychwood (of Ramsden).

I have no death date for William. There is no mention of him on the 1841 with his wife Martha, and on the 1851 Census his wife Martha is indicated as a Widow and Pauper

CoIC
I have no information regarding “William was admitted into the church after being baptised at St Michaels Bristol.” Can you tell me where this originates from please?

I have printed all of your replies and will recheck with the records I have.

Again thank you both

I am trying to find a baptism record for her.
It is thought she was born in Oxfordshire. MAY be in the Ramsden or Shipton Under Wychwood area.
She married as Jane Hixs to William Dickson(AKA Dixon) 10 Oct 1802 in Shipton Under Wychwood, Oxfordshire.
Any information and assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to locate a baptism for her.
She married Edward Fowlson (aka Foulson)13 July 1778 at Saint Botolph Bishopsgate, City of London.
He was a widower; she was a spinster.
Edward Foulson was buried 24 Jul 1783 at St Dunstan and All Saints, Stepney, Tower Hamlets, Middlesex.
Mary Foulson subsequently married James Robinson 21 May 1784 at Saint Botolph Bishopsgate, London.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated

Hi Patrick
I don’t have a vast amount of information on him. My link with him is via his son Thomas Fitzgerald born 8 May 1728, baptised 19 May 1728 Baptism Place St James, Piccadilly (St James, Westminster), London, Westminster, England. Parents are Gerett and Mary Fitzgerald. I am not so far aware of any other children.
I have no record of a marriage between Garrett Fitzgerald and Mary prior to when Thomas was born in 1728. There is a marriage 17 Apr 1749 to a Mary Stilinfleet in London. Mary Gower married Daniel Stillingfleet (AKA Stilinfleet or Stillingfleet or Stillingfloat) 10 Dec 1716 in London. It is therefore possible that Garrett remarried or maybe he had a son who I have not found so far!
Mary Stilinflint maiden name was Gower she was baptised 3 Apr 1693 St Margaret Pattens, City of London.
You have indicated “She (or they) were living in Covent Garden, Charles street. County of Middlesex.” I have no record of Charles street, do you have any documents regarding Charles Street?
Westminster to Covent Garden is about 1.1 Miles and to Piccadilly is about 0.8 miles as the crow flies, therefore it is a possibility that we MAY be researching the same person.

Regards
Les
