I just found your other messages about the Benzie family.
I have found your James Walker in the 1881 census.
and look what he says this time.
1881 Drums Foveran.
James Walker 28yrs forgue
Christina "       27     Foveran
James               5        "
George              4        "
David                 2       "

So this good. At least this links with his mother's home.
In regard to the Marriage of his mother .I bought the cert.
I will send it to you  if you can open attachments.
I also bought the birth, but sadly it is impossible to read.
You could ask Scotlandspeople to interprete it.
The James Low on it was illegitmate, she said she was 24yrs, as she did when she married(although she is not)
She said she was from somewhere in aberdeen (i think)
but I can't make out where she was when she gave birth.
