Hi Sarah

Wow that message was a long time back, I didn't even remember my password, goes to show how well the system works.

I have information on Edward Erasmus Knight, but I didn't realise he had another son with Elizabeth Leddra. He must have been born Jan/Oct 1847 as his 2nd marriage took place in November 1847, so presumably Elizabeth died at nearly the same time. How are you related to him?

If you have a birth certificate for your Edward James does it say what Edward Erasmus's occupation is or where they were living?

I am descended from his 3rd 'marriage' to Mary Ann Ahier, my mystery GGgrandmother, not really a mystery I just can not find a birth or marriage for her.

What information do you need? I think I still have an email address for a descendant of his daughter Elizabeth born to Elizabeth Knight nee Leddera.

If you want more info on him could you send your email address to me (not sure how you do that as you can not post email addresses here) then I will send the pdf I have for him.

Susie

Hi
Could anybody tell me where the parish records for Kings Norton 1780 - 1800 would be, Birmingham or Worcester?

Thanks

Hi Chopsuey

I know this thread is now quite old, but i hope it still works. I have been to Oxford Record office to look at the records. I could not find a bapt for John Bazeley in Noke 29th May 1719 as you noted on your post in February, could you look at your records and confirm where he is bapt.
I did find the bapt for Mary Grant in 1718 d of William & Mary, and William Grant's marriage to Mary Coalman 26/01/1717.
I did not find any reference to your John's marriage to an Elizabeth in Noke, I also looked at the records in Buckinghamshire but could find no mention except to a Joseph and Elizabeth Beazley in 1816, children Raymond, Letitia, Edwin, Joseph, Charlotte & male child 2 weeks, residing in Ickford.
Hope you can help with this date for John.

Hi Sue

Tried adding a smiley and lost my message!

Thanks for all that its wonderfull. Let me know if you find a definite connection to the Noke Beesley's, it would be great to work out the whole tree. I will keep my eye open for you on John's (1751) marrage and any other information.
There are some great pic's of Noke on the Oxford cc web site, its a nice little village, we called in last summer, are you local to Oxfordshire?
Could you tell me what web site Noke parish registers are on, all I have seen are some pretty ratty transcripts in the library.
All the best

Hi Sue

I have my James Beesley buried 23rd January 1868, Noke. I have picked him and the family up on the 1841, 51, & 61 census. in 1861 he has a niece Emily Baldwin living with them.
I don't have his wife's name but it may be Jane Roberts of Kidington married at Northmoor, i have to follow this one up. Their daughter (my gg grandmother) ends up working in Acton as a parlor maid (1861 census).
There is an Elizabeth Beesley widow age 67 from Northampton in Noke in 1861.

I will keep a note of this post and send anything i find on Joseph, who may or not be one of the siblings you mention.

Hi JJ

We do not know, His sister my GGGrandmother who came to England married in an independant Weslian Chapel, but we think that was due to my GGGrandfathers belief.

Canada / Ahier a priest
« on: Monday 17 January 11 22:31 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
Does anybody have any information on a French/Jersey man surname Ahier who was a priest or training to be a priest emigrating to Canada possibly during the 1850's. No other information is available.

Hi

Thanks for the reply, your ancestors departure from Jersey is too early for any connection but thanks anyway.
Your pronunciation of Ahier is exactly as my mother remembers it, but we have been unsure of the spelling until i received a birth certificate for her grand mother.
