Hello Ian

Thanks for your reply.

I don't think my husband's relative has any photographs of the Procter family.  However, it is almost 2 years since she first asked me if I could find anything out about the family and I found my notes a few weeks ago when I was cleaning out my wardrobe!  I only started researching the family a week or so ago and haven't even spoken to her about my research so far.

Any info you have on the Procters would be very welcome - and photographs would be absolutely wonderful.  We will be visiting my husband's relatives this weekend so I will pass on all I have found out then and I will ask if she has any Procter family photographs.

I couldn't find Hugh Procter's death record on freebmd.org.uk.  When did he died?

Regards

Jess

Hi Ian

I am researching the Procter family for a member of my husbands family.  Her great great grandparents are Hugh Procter and Hannah Warriner (IGI marriage 24 Dec 1818 St Peter, Leeds).  I think Hugh Procter was the son of Henry Procter - is that the info you have?

The line I am researching follows with John Warriner Procter born 1826 (IGI christening 16 July 1826 St Peter, Leeds) who married Frances Masterman (IGI 1 July 1851 St Olave, York - Sept quarter 1851 York 23 753).  Frances died pre-1861 and John married Harriet dunn at Scarborough in 1862.  Their son, George Warriner Procter and his wife Eliza Jane Kilvington continues this line.

I have noted that Hugh and Hannah were resident in the Workhouse on Aberdeen Walk, Scarborough in 1861 and that Hannah died later that year.

I was wondering if you have any further information either on Hugh and Hannah's time in the workhouse or on Hugh's parents.

Regards

Jess
