Dublin / Family history 'Fanning'
« on: Wednesday 21 May 25 15:23 BST (UK)  »
Good afternoon All,

I am hoping to determine the ancestry of my 4XGreat Grandfather Patrick Fanning B1808 in Dublin. M Maria Anna (?) B1810.

Son: John (Joannes ?) Fanning B:1831 Dublin, D:19 Oct 1894 M Joanna Mullaly B:1832 Dublin, Ireland D:2 Dec 1896 Saint Margaret's, County Dublin.

As yet I have been unable to find any information prior to Patrick so if anyone is able to assist I would be grateful.

Thank you, Dan

Good afternoon all,
Hoping to follow up on my previous post if possible please ?
I am looking for information, particularly the ancestry, of John Shasby (1797) and Margaret Wall. I have been unable to locate a John Shasby (or name variants) of that date (+/-) anywhere in Ireland (with exception to their marriage) I did wonder if he was perhaps an immigrant to Ireland however I have not been able to find anything matching in the UK and can't think of any other likely location.
Son Michael Shasby (Chasby / Shalsby) born (C) 1821 Kilkenny. I have siblings and a few descendants to present day.
I do understand that records become scarce at this point and despite looking at the nli registers and various other research type info I am still unable to establish a great deal.
Just to reiterate, I have my direct lineage back to John and Margaret who were my 4XGreat Grandparents and am trying to reach back further, happy to share should anyone also be researching.
Please do not post links to my original post as I do not wish to confuse the issue.
Thank you for taking the time to (re)read, Dan

My apologies, the first post was interpreted as unclear hence the second post. I do not believe that it was necessary to redirect readers to my earlier post and with respect I ask that you remove it to avoid any confusion. Thank you, Dan

Kilkenny / Looking for assistance please ?

Good afternoon all,
It seems that my previous post was not clear hence I am re-posting now, hopefully in a clearer way.
I am looking for information, particularly the ancestry, of John Shasby (1794 ?) and Margaret Wall. I have been unable to locate a John Shasby (or name variants) of that date (+/-) anywhere in Ireland so I wonder firstly if he was perhaps an immigrant ? I have not been able to find anything matching in the UK though.
Son Michael Shasby (Chasby / Shalsby) born (C) 1821 Kilkenny. I have siblings etc.
I do understand that records become scarce at this point and despite looking at the nli registers I am still unable to establish a great deal, if anything.
I have my direct lineage back to John and Margaret who were my 4XGreat Grandparents should anyone also be researching.
Thank you for taking the time to read, Dan

I did state the following "I am looking to any further family history relating to John and Margaret." So I apologise if that was in anyway confusing to anyone. Thank you for taking the time to read my post however. Dan

As per my original post, it has been some time since I have visited this page. Thank you for your reply, Dan
