MY FATHERS SURNAME WAS DAVIDSON ON GOING BACK ON HIS FAMILY HISTORY THEY COME FROM THE ELLON, PETERHEAD AREAS. My Grandmother was Margaret Davidson Rankin daughter of Alexander Davidson B 1852 Buchanhaven & Margaret McPherson.

There is a family of Slessors living in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada, where they own a car dealership. There is also a street named after them. No idea if there is a connection to the Aberdeenshire Slessors. I had always thought it was a Dutch name.....who knew!
[My Husband spoke with the son of the owner of the Dealership in Grimsby about 20 years ago and he said his Father's family were from Aberdeen.
