Hi Guys,

I think we have confusion in Ritas list regarding the Janet Ulrichs (#12 & #13).  I know I was at a Gran Ulrichs 100th birthday.

Janet Ulrich > July 1892 - February 1993

You guys are amazing, it looks as if mary Hamilton may have been the first wife not the second.

He was born in Glasgow, William John Coulter, but he was apparently shipped to Co. Armagh to live with family when he was a young child.  I've found him on a census of N. Ireland in 1911.

The only other information I have is they were the parents of my grandfather and he was born in 1899.

And rumour has it this was Samuel Coulters second marriage.  But we have no information about the first wife.

Thank You!

I'm having a difficult time finding any information on the above mentioned who were married and had their children in Glasgow.  We have my grandfathers Birth Certificate that states these two names but we've hit a brick wall after that.

The only thing we know is Mary Coulter (nee Hamilton) had a sweet shop.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

We've had a rumour in our family that one of our ancestors was brought over during the prussian war by his parents and orphaned on a door step to save him from returning to Prussia.  With so many Ulrichs in Kilmarnock this story is quite difficult to verify.  Does anyone have any idea where I could find information regarding orphans or the like?

I've tried census forms but since I"m not sure of the year or address it's difficult for me cross reference these documents.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HEY WARREN1975

Would you just happen to have a brother named Russell?  You may be my second cousin I haven't seen since I was 5.
