My side of the family are;
John Thelwell b. Worthenbury 1879 m Georgina Florence Hughes
Father George Thelwell b. Worthenbury 1859 m Elizabeth Lightfoot.
Father John Thelwell b. Tybroughton 1808 m Jane Brookfield (2nd Marr)

The other John,who was married to Sarah, was a son of the above John b 1808, whose first wife Anne Downes died of consumption.

Hi,
I'm trying to find out more of my French ancestors time in London. My latest avenue of research has led me to believe
that my grandfather Louis Sahuc may have been living in Islington in London c.1934.
How would I find out where in London and with whom he was living.
There is some connection to the Stone family, I believe his mother was Beatrice Stone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been asked these questions from a family member in Southern France

Good morning,
I would very much appreciate a little advice if possible.
I am researching my family history and have a subscription with ancestry.co.uk, They have all the 1911 Census details available but not indexed as yet.
I looked on a different website, findmypast, and there is a record of an Elizabeth Thelwell. B.1901 in an institution in Barton Upon Irwell. I went back on ancestry and managed to find Barton Upon Irwells Workhouse and St Josephs Home in Eccles, Districts 36-37. I looked through the records and could find no Elizabeth.
Was there any more institutions in Barton Upon Irwell at the time and if so does anyone happen to know the relevant registration district reference?
