Hi there

Ive hit a brick wall researching my grand parents on my mothers side.

Ive only got as far back as my great grant parents Joseph Jackson (born around 1873) and Elizabeth Cockburn (both died in Halifax West Yorkshire - i dont know the birth places)

Anyone help me out as im sure if i can source their parents info i will be far enough back to hook into other peoples trees ;)

thanks
Mark (and Mum :)

Hi Josie,

then we're probably related.

I have stories about an aunt who visited sonny for a while... my mum knows more.

If you'd like our research so far then let me know :)

I think that the SON jonah is the jonah discussed here.

Is there any way i can verify this?

as this would tell us about his brothers, mum and dad which would be a significant step forwards

thanks people!

Hi there,

Im here with my mum and we're looking into the Kyte family history.

So far what we know is:

Jonah Kyte and wife Emma Kyte moved to Halifax West Yorkshire from what we believe is Shirebrook

Their children were born in shirebrook and were called:

Mary Anne, Harriet, Florence, rosy, Tom, Jake

Jonah was a coal miner

We think jonahs brother was called sonny gut this could have been a nick name - we think he had more brothers

all help appreciated as we're totally stuck at this point.
