Yorkshire (East Riding & York) / Re: Overfield / Wass
« on: Wednesday 10 November 10 01:15 GMT (UK)  »
I know this is quite an age after your post but I have only just discovered it. It just so happens that I have a James Overfield born in 1806 on my tree. I have no further information on the individual other than a little of his ancestry and the identities of his siblings.

His Father was Thomas Overfield, born 1783 and his mother, Sarah Norton, born 1779. He had four brothers, one of whom, David, is my great x4 Grandfather.

All of this family are from Yorkshire and these individuals are listed as being from Emswell with Little Driffield, Yorks.

I hope this is of help.

Regards, Liam.

Thanks for the info. Having never researched this Irish side of my family, it seems particularly difficult to do so from a far. Although I don't have the details of marriage, it seems highly likely that they married in Hull, East Yorkshire. At least there is a potential lead there!

Thanks again.

Does anyone have any information on the family of Mary Ann Kelly (born abt 1863)? She was born in Magherafelt and married James Edward Porter (born abt 1863) of Wainfleet, Lincolnshire. They had a son named Lawrence Porter.

Thanks in advance.

If anybody requires information on the Fransham family of Norfolk, I may be able to help! Elizabeth Ann Fransham's parents were Daniel Fransham (1815-1888) and Sarah Harding (1818-1883). The were married in 1837 and produced thirteen children in all.

I have details of the children (siblings of Elizabeth Ann) and indeed some of their offspring.

Daniel Fransham's father was Jeremiah Fransham (1788-1866), my great x4 Grandfather.
