Hi, I have a william samways who married "Nell" Rider ( I assume this is the same lady) . William was the brother of my grandmother Edith samways and my great aunt Winifred samways. I didnt have a date for the marriage on my family tree but they had 7 children!John (known as Jack), 1914, May 1916(mum of my second cousins Pamela and Marilyn).Doris 1920, Tom 1921, Ivy 19..?, Charles 1927, and Mary 1933.I have a photo of william with edith and winifred I think. I will have a look and scan it and then I send it to you if you would like? I have now checked my photos and scanned two onto an A4 sheet. one is William in his uniform and the other is william (top left) Edith bottom left. Martha (mother of all three), unknown man top right and winifred bottom right. Let me know if you would like me to send it to you

wow Emma, we must be related somewhere down the line. where do you live in NZ? I have a email friend who lives in Christchurch. I wonder if your Grandfather in Stoborough is related to my lot. I will have to ask the two second cousins I have that are also searching for Samways and see if Brian rings any bells with them
all the best
