Dad’s sister, we called her Aunt May.  I will have to ask my Mom if there any pictures of Uncle Dick.  If I’m correct he would have been the one that lived close to my Grandparents but my Dad didn’t really know him. I can also ask a cousin who lives in Scotland.  I am at Mom’s tomorrow night.  Will ask to see old photos, take pics and upload by Friday.  She might have one of Aunt May in uniform as well.

Hi, my name is Kelly Picken, my father was Richmond Picken born 1924 in Bo’ness and his Uncle Richmond Picken died in WW2.  I’m wondering if these are the One’s you are referring to.  There is a monument in Bo’ness with my Uncles name on it.  I have pictures of my Dad sitting on a Sunderland.  He was a mechanic.

Mo and Jap

Again, thank you so much.  I couldn't take the credit for your work though so I told my parents who were very surprised and said "many thanks".  I heard many stories that I had not heard growing up and was able to fill in some blanks.  Dad still does not know all his cousins names but we will be able to get them from the sources you gave earlier, unfortunately my mother and I didn't have time to get on line.  They enjoyed their trip and learning about Dad's ancestors, it's amazing that he lived across the street from some relatives and didn't know them very well.

Must go.  Again, many thanks and I'd hug you both if I could.

Thank you so much to both of you.  My parents arrive today for a visit and this will be an early Birthday present for my father.

I thought I had posted a thank you the other day to JAP but I don't see it.  My apologies for it not being there.

Again, I thank you and with my mother here we will be able to get onto Scotlands People.

Richmond Picken (1924) - born in Bo'ness West Lothian
May (1922 - 1994) - born in Glasgow

Mary Picken was a midwife, her first "customer" was my father, Richmond Picken.  I think she may have gone for schooling in Edinburgh.

Richmond Picken moved to Canada in 1948 and married Shirley Ellis

Children
James Stewart

Any info on the Picken family from my Grandfather (James) and up would be grateful.  My fathers thinks Mary Crossley may have been from Perthshire area.

Thank you,

Kelly
