Just in case anyone is interested in this very old line of enquiry, the full tree for the family of Henry Ellerton and his wife Lucy Ellen (nee Maloney) can be found at:
http://ellerton.giantpandahost.com/Trees/Matthew1744.htm

If you come across any errors or omissions on the tree please let me know!

Yorkshire (North Riding) Lookup Requests / Re: East Hauxwell - Francis Ellerton

Hi "bolttail",
You might be interested in referring to my Ellerton website which includes a tree for the Francis of Barden (buried at Hauxwell in 1675/76):
http://ellerton.giantpandahost.com/Trees/Francis15XX.htm
This page includes links to trascriptions of wills for Francis and his wife Catherine. The "Trees" and "Wills" index pages provide lots more information on many other Ellerton families in the area - including those at Downholme - around this time.

Hi Cliff,
You may be interested to lnow that my website includes a family tree for the Ellerton family you have been researching, going back to around 1696. The URL is:
http://ellerton.giantpandahost.com/Trees/Matthew1744.htm

Diane Ellerton and I have been in touch over the past ten years or so, and much of the information in the tree has been gleaned from her own research, augmented by my own findings. Obviously if you know of any errors/omissions in the tree please let me know.

Regards, Bob

Hi Anita,
I came just come across this posting where you kindly got photos of gravestones from the Beresfield Crematorium where two of my rellies werre laid to rest. I wondered if you would be so kind as to do the same for me when you are next in the Beresfiedl area.

The only details I have are (presumably) from the official records for the crematorium which some other researcher kindly provided me with, and I suspect that they are in the same grave:

ELLERTON Beatrice May 03/06/1952 14 James St Hamilton 58 ROSE L 5/20 9032
ELLERTON Robert Edward 12/05/1949 Blue Gum Rd Jesmond 62 ROSE B 8/4 5988

Thanks, Bob (in Turkey)

Hi Janet,
I should have pointed out that I am not (as yet) part of the "Matthew 1744 tree". My own "John 1630 tree" goes back to circa 1630. Both John and Matthew come from the same part of Yorkshire, but so far no positive links between the families have been made.

I have contacted, or should I say been contacted by, dozens of people connected to the Matthew 1744 tree, hence the extensive work done on this tree. I would be happy to put you in contact with those who have close links to your branch.

And yes, I love Turkey!!

Regards, Bob

You could also join the "Ellerton forum" that I set up to contact other Ellerton researhcers!
