His burial record - along with other JOHNSTON members is recorded on the Belfast City Council site - https://dof.belfastcity.gov.uk/burialsearch/BurialSearch.aspx?GraveSection=F4&GraveNumber=363&CemeteryName=Dundonald%20Cemetery . Each record (4 in No)  can be downloaded for £1.50 from this site.  The details on the records give quite a bit of information.

Not been able to find that link yet - and Scotlands People Centre is current in lockdown, but it's on my list to find. There are a number of possible connections, but I wouldn't like to say one for sure. I have a picture of his headstone, if you would like that. Its in New Cemetery, Elgin.

I have some info on your grandfather MICHAEL KELBIE STEWART. Born 1st April 1924 (later than current Privacy Rules for being online from Scotlandspeople). Died 14th November 1980 in Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin (lived at 82 Newmills Road, Elgin) - died from Pancreatic Fistule, Gastric Surgery, Bleeding Durodonal Ulcer, and Broncho-pneumonia - I expect you already know this. He was married to MARGARET HELEN HARROLD. His Record No. at Libindx.moray.gov.uk is NM174333 which may give you a little more detail. His death was recorded in the Northern Scot on 22 Nov 1980.

Perhaps this might help (at least one Alexander Bell mentioned). … http://www.thebraid.com/ancestor_search.aspx?surname=bell&cemetary=
Further Googling may provide the location for you

You can find MIs for Giffin (and variations), plus many of the other names mentioned on 'The Braid' site .. http://www.thebraid.com/genealogy.aspx .. Many go back into the 1700s

Hi Betty

You can request a photograph and/or a transcription of Elspeth & John Sime headstone from https://sites.google.com/site/highlandmemorialinscriptions/home/moray - hope this will be of help.

You will find some details on John Finlayson on the Moray site ( http://libindx.moray.gov.uk ) using the Reference NM068400. This includes references to his marriage (newspaper article), and a Poor Law application. If you contact them they will forward copies of these documents. They might throw some further light to your quest.

Good Hunting
