Yes, thank you, it is. I have a copy of the Baptismal Register.

Thanks for your response Looby.  It is a bit of a long shot, I know.   Her husband, John Patrick, was still alive in 1841, remarried. He was a shoemaker in Old Cumnock.  This is the only Margaret Nicol I could find (using Scotlands People, ancestry, findmypast and other sources) who died in Ayrshire between 1831 and John's remarriage in 1841, and who fits. The date of this death is only a few weeks after the birth of her last (and ninth) child.  It is possible she had gone to Troon to recuperate and probable that she had maternal relatives in the area.
Thanks again

Ayrshire / Death notice 1831 Margaret Nicol in Troon
« on: Saturday 27 December 14 00:05 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for a death notice or obit for 1831. "Margaret Nicol died 14 September 1831 at Troon, and was buried 17 September in Crosbie" (Dundonald Parish register). I am almost certain this was my ggggrandmother, but no relationship was given in the Parish Register. I have not been able to find any Ayrshire newspapers online - or am I not looking in the right place?  I have access to the British Newspapers through findmypast but 1844 would seem to be the closest year they have.  Any assistance or suggestions gratefully received.

Thank you for the offer. A Margaret Nichol (whom I believe was my ggggrandmother) was buried in the Crosbie cemetery on 17 Sep 1831. I would appreciate any information that might be available.
Many thanks

Cavan / Re: Look-up 1841 census Killeshandra HUGGINS.

Hi,
Sorry I can't look up the census as requested.  But I am interested in any connection with the Blakely Huggins born c.1832.  He married a Lilly Goodfellow in Templeport in 1855.  I am fairly sure that this Lilly was my g.g. grandmother's sister.  I have also found Blakely & Lilly and 3 children in St Louis in the 1880 census.
I would be interested in any information you might be able to add.
Regards
Mary Farrelly

Thanks to everyone who replied so promptly.
The groom was born in 1887.  I know he was married once in 1913 in Canada as I found that marriage record. Wife died in 1919.  The name on the reverse of this postcard (sent to my Nan) does not match that of the 1913 bride, and it gives no clues as to place.  Family oral history has it that he married twice - but I have no idea when or where, only that he emigrated to Canada at some stage prior to 1913 and stayed there. No emigration / immigration records found yet.

Hello, is anyone able to date this photo please?  It is of a wedding of my great uncle and I think it was taken in Canada.
Many thanks in anticipation.
Maryeliza :)
