Hi,
Dinah, Mary and Martha Haselhurst were born in Hanley in Staffordshire. Their parents were John Haselhurst and Ann Turnock who died in childbirth having Martha. They also had a brother called Thomas. Ann Turnock's mother Martha was sister to Edward Knight who was a silk merchant before retiring to Milton Ernest to live with his friend who later left the estate to Edward the present house was built some time later.
Both the Rev John Donne and his brother Mathew Donne (a school teacher) were born at St Donats Castle in Glamorgan. Mathew Donne later became schoolmaster in the National School in Sawtry in Huntingdonshire.
Mathew and Martha Donne were my Great, Great, Great Grandparents.
Regards,
John 1862.
