They merged Education and Employment, which always seemed a little odd to me ... education dealing with pre-school upwards, and employment dealing with anyone under pension age !   How could they possibly be similar ??

Anything is possible it seems ... ahhh !    It wasn't like that when I was younger ...  ::)

After enlarging them and cogitating, I'd say the girl on the left was about 17 - 18, and the girl on the right is younger ... maybe 16 ?   She is also tidier in appearance !  Hat feathers neat and tidy, and collar edges as they should be, wheras the girl on the left has her top button hooked over her collar ...

You were indeed lucky to find the grave you sought.

If its a public cemetery, as opposed to one connected to a local church, then there may be an office attached to it, or the council offices ... which might have ... indeed SHOULD HAVE records and maps of who is buried where.


If its a church graveyard, then the local vicar will have records of who is buried where.
