My father used his middle name as first name, and I have also discovered recently whilst researching my family tree that both my uncle & cousin did the same. I am unaware of the reason why.

I just found this item via a search engine, its a pity its over 2 yrs old! I signed up today hoping that I may get a reply from the author, as it is an item I am very interested in as my grandmother also lived at Home farm on the Bold Hall estate and was also a Houghton. Date approx 1920.
