Yes - Belle Kindberg is the other witness and she shows up as Isabella Kindberg, wife of Edward, on the 1900 Census. Here's the 1885 marriage certificate - second marriages for both - of Edward and Isabella Archer, née Thomson:

Here's the marriage certificate of Anne THOMSON and Henry deKoven RIDER:

https://a860-historicalvitalrecords.nyc.gov/view/7891912

It says Anne would turn 20 on 11 Apr 1888. And Henry would turn 25 on 21 Jun 1888. Sometimes the birth years can be off, however.

Curiously, I recognized the name and signature of one of the witnesses: Edward Kindberg, who was a specialist in prints and engravings and was an employee of the antiquarian bookseller William Evarts Benjamin in the 1890s.

Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Re: Ancestry common ancestor anomaly

It should just appear on your DNA matches page, but you'll only be able to see who the common ancestors are if you have an active/paid subscription.

Ack! Apologies for not acknowledging these replies - and thanks to you both for looking into this. Since posting my query I realized that I could get the basic details on FindMyPast without a subscription - and it turns out the online tree referenced is mine!

US Lookup Requests / Patrick DOYLE and Margaret BRICE married in NYC 1855-60
« on: Tuesday 25 July 23 23:50 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone find a record on, say, FindMyPast, of the marriage of Patrick DOYLE and Margaret Ann BRICE/BRYCE at, presumably, a Catholic church in Manhattan sometime between 1855 and 1860?

Patrick DOYLE and Margaret BRICE were the parents of Jane DOYLE (later ERHARDT) - born 1864-67 - and, I think, William DOYLE, who was born c1866 and seems to have died between the two 1870 censuses.

Incidentally, I think Patrick's brother William DOYLE was married to Margaret BRICE/BRYCE's sister, Mary Anne BRICE - sister of John and Henry BRICE - who died 15 May 1854. They bore Jane DOYLE - born 14 Aug 1851, baptized at St Columba, Manhattan, 24 Aug 1851 - and Bartholomew DOYLE - born 4 Jan 1854, baptized 15 Jan 1854 St Columba, Manhattan, died 21 Jul 1874.

Hope this isn't too convoluted...

Ancestry's ThruLines suggests that Thomas LEAVEY and Bridget KEOGAN were my 5x-great-grandparents - based on the research of a distant cousin. But I'm not yet sure if this is correct as I've found few DNA matches with LEAVEYs or KEOGANs in their trees. I could be wrong, though.

My 3x-great-grandmother was Rose ROGERS (said to be the granddaughter of Thomas and Bridget), who was born in the early 1800s, married Thomas DOYLE, and later lived in Aghamore Upper, Columkille/Colmcille Parish, Longford.

Have you taken a DNA test? So far I've identified about 30 descendants of Rose and Thomas who are DNA matches on Ancestry, so genetics might be able to confirm your suspicions - that is, if my cousin's theory is accurate.

Feel free to PM me for more details!
