Hi

We have Keefe's from Cork in our family.  Mary Keefe was my gt gt grandmother on my mother's paternal side.  One of her grandson's Michael Grady emigrated to the States under the name of Michael G Kieffe (I have his will and his daughter's (clara Kieffe Fanning) They lived and died in Warren County Pennsylvania. Also in the family are Sullivans and Morans. Does this mean anything to you

I haven't gone back too far yet on the Walshes, as far as I know they are from Clonmel butm Thurles is not far away.  The Sullivans again I am not sure, I have them all named in a will that ws made by Michael Grady/Keiff who emigated to PA.  As far as I know he hailed from Cork.  It is difficult to stay focused as different names keep cropping up to send you on another line of thought.  I do know for definite that these all belong somewhere in the family as I have letters to my grandfather regarding the will.  Hopefully the link will be apparent pretty soon.

good luck everyone

Tipperary / Curran - Clonmel, Co Tipperary
« on: Thursday 25 October 12 20:41 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to trace my gt grandmother's family.  Her name was Mary Curran born about 1868.  Her father was Michael Curran.  Mary married a John Lonergan in 1889 in Clonmel and they had 3 children, Ellen, Neddy (Edward) and Michael.  He died and she married my gt grandfather, James Holden again in Clonmel in 1897.  (James Holden died in 1915 in Flanders, France in the 1914-1918 war). They had 5 children, Alice (my grandmother) Mary (Molly), Tommy, James and Edward.

I believe some of the Currans emigrated to America and those are the ones I am trying to trace.  Unfortunately I cannot establish who Mary's mother was.

My grandmother Alice married Arthur Patrick Barrett from Clonmel.  Her sister Molly married Patrick Walsh.  If any of this is familiar to anybody I would welcome any information.
