Does anyone then have information on George Farquhar that the would not mind sharing?

The only information i have on my great-great-great grandfather, states he married Mary Brown and they had a daughter Williamina Farquhar who died 27th Feb 1916 it states her age as 57 and her location as Buckie. i believe she had at least 3 daughters, Jemima, Jessie Jane and Bella.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks :)

Banffshire / Re: Arthur Murray (1786-1867) Blackhill, St.Fergus, Banff testament

Hello there,

I found this quite interesting, and although i dont understand much of whats going on with that will,

I am interested to know if you have more information on Arthurs son, Alexander, or even Arthur himself.

A friend of the family did some research for my aunt and tracked down Alexander Murray as my great-great grandfather.
Alexander Murray's birthdate is 1st august 1843 of blackhill, fergus, Banff, his birth witness is Arthur Murray of blackhill. Alexander married Isabella Salmon Dunbar in 1870.

The information i have states Alexanders father as another Alexander Murray who married Elizabeth Forbes on 29th may 1841 unfortunatly i have no sources that can cinfirm this.

Do you know if they are any realation, i imagine that Blackhill is most likely too small an area for it to be a coincidence. Just curious to see if Arthur may actually be Alexanders father or if they are uncle and nephew.

and information is recieved with gratatude.

Kirsty
