Hi Sarah,

Many thanks for changing the notifications for me. It has been years since I have been on rootsweb, then all of a sudden I get a message
I chose my user name as .. you guessed it.. I am a nurse.
I prefer to keep my username if that is ok.
With kindest Regards.
Diane

Hi Mark,
That sounds very strange.
I wonder why you went to a medium all those years ago? Sounds interesting.
I have not heard of a Mrs Cordwell but very odd that she is where your Nan's ashes are.
Do you still have access to her picture?
I would love to see any photos you may have of your Dad Reg and any others you may have of our Presland family.

Feel free to email me rather than the rootschat as I don't often get notification of my messages on rootschat.
Love Diane

Hi Mark
Hope you are well
We have spoken before.  You are my 2nd cousin.
My dad, Bill, was your dad's brother.
I have seen the grave at Ware. I went there about 3 years ago.
There is a bench there with Peters name on it
Did you know that Aunt Doddy and uncle Vic passed away in May of last year?
How are you getting on with your family research?
I haven't done much on mine just lately, but still keep dipping in and out of ancestry.co.uk
Keep in touch
Love cousin Diane

Hi Ray

Thank you for your reply.

I have checked the Brown family tree and there is nothing to indicate where Peter Wallace is buried. There are quite a few trees with Peter Wallace (my great grandfather) but no luck as to where he is buried. Can you please advise if  I would find this information elsewhere.
Kind Regards

Hi

I am trying to find out who Jane Swinney's father was. Edward Swinney b. Ware(1800-1859)married Ann Pearson b. 1794-1872in January 1822. Jane is one of 9 children, however, all the baptism records state that Edward did not father any of these children. Ann is recorded as a married woman who's children are not her husbands.
Edward is recorded on one of the baptism records that he was a soldier in the war (not sure what war this is) and was in America. Ann named all her children Swinney but not one of her children was in fact Edwards.
The only baptism record I cannot find is Jane Swinney. I wonder if you can help please. I would really like to know /confirm who Jane's father was. Would I have to buy a birth certificate to confirm this??
Many thanks

Thank you for replying to request of Edith May Wallace so quickly. I appreciate your comments.

Would you be able to source any info on William Wiles born 1811-1885 Great Munden who married Mary Mardell b 1838-1883.
I am unable to find William on the 1841 or 1851 census so not sure what he was doing during that time. Hope this is ok
Many thanks

Hertfordshire Lookup Requests / Edith May Wallace
« on: Thursday 07 March 13 18:59 GMT (UK)  »
Edith 1892-1975 was the daughter of Peter Wallace 1868-1903. and Mary Ann Wiles 1872-1925.

I cannot find where Edith was in 1911 census. She is not living with her widowed mother and siblings. Can you help please.

Edith went on to marry Benjamin Presland 1890-1949

Also in the 1901 census, Mary Ann Wallace (nee Wiles) is a widow in the 1911 census living with Arthur who born in 1903 (it is stated in the census) is her son. I am wondering if this is not her son and why he would be classed as her son (if that makes sense).

All are in the Ware/Gt Munden/Benington area.

Many thanks
Diane

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the info. I thought that William married Elizabeth Camp Born 1776, but it could be Elizabeth Andrews. I get ssooooooooooooo confused at times ;D as there were lots of Preslands who had lots of children who were named William and George.  ;D,
The line I am looking at is Benjamin Presland born in Ware in 1890 Died in 1948 who married Edith May Wallace born in 1892  who lived in Ebing End Benington as a child. Benjamin and Edith are my paternal grandparents. Edith died in 1975. They had 9 children. Benjamins ancestors lived in Ware so its his side I am looking at. Edith's father was Peter Wallace born  at great Munden in 1868 in who died in 1903 at the age of 35. Do you think I will be able to find out where Peter Wallace is buried and also any info on his wife Mary Ann Wiles born in 1875 in Little Munden and died in 1925 at 12 Caroline Court Ware.
If there is any further info I would be grateful.
Warm Regards
Injection
