Staffordshire / Re: Transportation of George Doleman
« on: Monday 15 September 25 23:10 BST (UK)  »
There’s a record on the website

convictrecords.com.au

of a George Doleman transported to Australia on the Lord Lyndoch in 1833. His native place is given as Staffordshire.

There are several convict transportation records available online on various official and volunteer web-sites. Happy researching! 😊

My surname is long, but you’d never know that by looking at my signature! 😁

J A Easterbrook is the name of a 20th C researcher into psychological and behavioural influences on an aviator’s performance…seems feasible that he was associated in some way with these men.

If you scroll across to the 2nd page of report, you’ll see it gives further details of his death-
date, place, time, reg. including burial at Melbourne Cemetery on 18th Jan 1886, undertaker T Perrant (sp?} witness names and the deceased’s place of origin and length of time in Australia.

From out of left field…

I see a strong resemblance between the younger and the older woman, which makes me wonder if the latter could be his mother-in-law.
That could account for the wife appearing to be older in what seems to be a later period, second photo!
