One of my main problem people is as follows
Arthur Charles Britton born 1883ish and Died in 1955
I know he married gladys caris phillips in 1912 but cannot find any parents names etc to take me any further.
Hope you can help as I am stuck and really wanted to follow this side of the family.
Also he died in Cardiff Glamorgan

Hi, this might seem really stupid to some of you but how do you narrow down your research. I have Ancestry but it has only just occured to me that if you really don't know about older relatives how do decide who is the one for you. I am finding alot of similar names and districts but am finding it hard to figure out who is my relative
Any basic tips would be great and are Ancestry hints usually right?

I have it brought up two Arthur Charles Brittons but as I don't know the names of siblings etc I don't really know what to do but Gladys is still an enigma to me!! Is this a situation where I would have to buy their marriage certificate?
