Thanks for your reply, It could well be him. I don't have any other reference for his police service apart from the request for info from the met on his medals index card. Is it possible to obtain service papers for his time with the met?

There is also an article in the Regimental Gazette, when as part of a Met Police Entertaiment Troupe he entertained the London Branch of the Old comrades association in 1925.
