Japeflakes, Saddles, Tommyfromri and Teetotal, Thank you one and all for the truly beautiful restoration work. It really is absolutely remarkable. The original photograph was taken of Cath in 1893 in Waterford City when she was 24 years old. Tommyfromri, she married my great uncle Michael P. Cooney in 1904 so I don't know if it's a love chain she's wearing. Japeflakes, Saddles and Tommyfromri, the three of you also restored her husband's photograph beautifully back in June. Thanks again. Regards Gerard

Catherine (1869 to 1928) was a children's clothes shop owner in Co Tipperary Ireland. Appreciate if the photo could be restored. I've no idea what colour her eyes or hair may have been. Thanking you - her grand nephew.

To ONETIGER and Nicksmum, a really big thank you to both of you. Both restorations are great and the coloured one is really fantastic ! My aunt, Jim's last surving child (she will be 100 next April) is really thrilled with the results. Really appreciated - Gerry

Could you please restore and colour my Grand dad.  This is one of only three photographs ever taken of him. It was taken shortly before his death in 1934. Thanks in advance.

Tipperary / Re: Shea / Cody Carrick On Suir Tipp - MORE INFO

Hi, Garryrue was a local name in the town of Carrick on Suir at the turn of the 19th-20th Century. Its Gaelic name was Garrai Rua (Red Gardens) anglicised to Garryrue. The Garryrue extended from the rear of Lough St to the rear of New St, Carrick (the present Pearse Square). Hope this is of some help.

Has anyone any idea how I might my Granfathers brothers and sisters  1911 census shows 1 brother and 2 sisters although they are listed as widows ? my great granparents are Joseph Conlan And Margaret Conlan nee Kelly
.

Reference the two sisters. I suspect that Mary Conlan was in fact a daughter in law and not a daughter. She is possibly the widow of Patrick Conlan who is listed in the 1901 census. Elizabeth (Cooney) married Thomas Cooney a blacksmith from Carrick on Suir on 17 july 1895. Thomas died in 1903 and the couple had no children. Her brother Daniel worked in Cooneys Forge in Carrick and I suspect that is how Elizabeth met Tom Cooney. Hope this helps.
