Many thanks for your reply. Pierre/Peter is the only one I don't have baptism details for; only a birth date of 16Jun1839.
Evidence of his presence with the family can be seen in the 1841 census. As relationships aren't shown it is difficult to know for sure that he is a son. Other children of the family (Charles, Mary, Thomas, Nicolas and John) are present with their mother, Mary. Anglicisation (if that is a word) of the names can complicate matters. This is again shown in the 1851 census where Peter age 12 is living with his widowed mother Mary.
Since making my post I have had contact from other Le Prevost descendants and I am satisfied that there was a Peter/Pierre, son of Charles Le Prevost and Marie De La Mare, who married Nancy Sarre in 1861. One of their sons is Bonamy Le Prevost b1866 which might indicate that Peter is a brother of Jean Bonamy Le Prevost.
