I think my only solution is to visit and look at the parish records unless anybody has any other suggestions.  I have written to the Orange Order many times but they just do not answer.

If it said Killaloe in Family Search that would presumably be the diocese.  That may account for why on just one census they put Tipperary.   Barb Chap;man in Canada has many Danns from Tipperary in her family but we cannot come up with any Alexanders.

I found the marriage of Alexander Dann and Mary Mathews m 1814 in Family Search.  I knew m;y Alexander's father and mother were Alexander and Mary.  My Alexander was born in Ireland in 1829.  He also had a brother Richard, b 1832, a Thomas b 1834 and a Rachel b 1837
As Alexander Dann is not a common name in Ireland this is as close as I can get.  I know he was as strict protestant as my gran told me he was an Orangeman.  Over here he was a strict Primitive Methodist.
Without actually going to Ireland and looking through the Church records I don't know any other way to find the information as I don't think the censuses exist.

If there is anything I can do for you in England please let me know, also Australia and New Zealand, as I am going there.

Thank you for looking.

Many thanks for looking.  I don't kn ow if Agnes had any middle names.  She married John Gibbinson.  Their first child(Thomas) was born in 1847.  She is on the 1851 census as being born in Scotland.  Her husband, John, was born in South Embleton, Northumberland in about 1822.  I would love to find their marriage as that would give me their fathers.

Wiltshire / Re: Anybody with links to the PONTING and FIELDING in Wiltshire?
« on: Thursday 12 August 10 12:20 BST (UK)  »
I have an William fielding but he was born in 1847, he was the son of John (b1818) whose father was Israel (b1794) and he married a Hannah Self.  My interest is in Arthur John (b 1856) Williams Brother.

John, Williams father married a Caroline Maslen at Oxted in Surrey.  He was born in Bradford on Avon.  On the 1841 census he was in Wiltshire.  He married Caroline in 1842 in Surrey.  In 1845 when his daughter Elizabeth was born he was back in Wiltshire.  I can't find any connection with Surrey.  Has anybody any suggestions.

Israel(1794)'s father was Israel (b 1759 and married to Mary Spender) and his father appears to be Robert botn around 1727.

Does anybody recognise any of this

I have only been able to look in the English records.  I wondered if John and Agnes were married in Scotland.  John was born in Embleton, Northumberland but Agnes put that she was born in Scotland.

Hi Sue

Yes I have checked the public trees but it is something that has to be done regularly as new people come on.
