Dumfriesshire / Re: MI lookup parish of Dumfries

That's the one. I have these details and there is no further information. I was hoping there may be a grave headstone which might have more information.

Anyone with a Dumfries parish MI booklet?

Who was James given up by? I've got Bessie but not 100% certain what comes after.

It was ringing a bell but I couldn't quite remember it. Your response has jogged the grey cells and i've found i looked into this 12 years ago!! I recovering old ground.

Previous responses of where Symeon was from were in the ballpark of Milcommoss or Melcommoss or Milcamos/Milkamos/Milkimoss

GR2 has gone above and beyond. Thank you so much. I would have been happy with the names and places but that awesome. I think some of the other bits I could interpret of Google but I'm really just trying to connect the families right now.

I'm happy I got most of the Halydays. I assume there is not mention of Marion Halyday's relation or Jonne Davidsone other to themselves?

I'm back with another testament dative. - Niniane Halyday in Leithenhall.

This looks easier to read and i've been able to pick out a number of names and links which is what i'm mostly interested in at this point. Can anyone confirm and add anything i've missed regarding how the people are connected? The further down the document the harder I found it.

7th line - James Halyday of Gillenbierig his brother

9th line - John Halyday his son

line 11 - 12 - John Halyday son to Christopher Halyday brother of defunct

Line 16 - is this 'said' Christopher?

Line 19 - Symon Halyday his brother

Line 20 - 21 - William ? in ??

Line 22 John ___ in Tinerwood

Line 24 Thomas  ____ in _____

Line 25 - 26 Marion Halyday ____ to Johne ____ _____ son in Moffat and ____

Line 27 James _____ in _______

Line 28 said James Halyday _________________
