Oh my !!!!
This confirms its him as I have his parents already. I say oh my as he arrived in Australia with his wife and 3 children early 1856 . Another child arrived in June then his wife died in July. He put the children into the Destitute Asylum. Took the son out for a while then left him with someone where followed a court case and he was returned to the asylum. I can only trace 1 daughter after that dont know what happened to the son and 2 other daughters.
Then Solomon obviously remarried for a few months before deserting Mary. More court cases in the newspapers. He eventually married again in Queensland and settled there.
Thankyou for your help.

Australia / looking for marriage details South Australia
« on: Saturday 27 September 25 13:26 BST (UK)  »
I  am wondering if anyone can help with marriage details . On Genealogy SA i have found groom Solomon Richards. Bride Mary Ann. 1858 Adelaide.
I am hoping to find out if he is the Solomon Richards I am following. He would have been born in England 1822.
He would have been a widower at this marriage and he would have had 3 children possibly 4 although he may have lied about about having as he left them in Aldelaide Destitute Asylum.
This Solomon seemed to have married in May and then deserted his wife (Mary Ann) in August according to newspapers on Trove.

Dorset Lookup Requests / Salwayash Baptisms (after 1872)
« on: Sunday 01 August 21 13:28 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
Does anyone have access to Salwayash baptisms for after 1872.
Up to 1872 they are available online but after that it seems they are only at the Dorset History Centre.

Oh BPLondon,
I have only just seen your reply on here.
For some reason i didn't get a mail saying someone had posted a reply. Nevermind i can respond now.

I have the newspaper cuttings on your Grt Grt Grandfathers accident and have copies of births and i believe baptisms of the children.
I will have to dig my folder out.
I wondered what would have happened to the children, i thought maybe they were all brought up with the Parker children. What a shame they were put into an orphanage considering what Annie went through as a child.
I have lots on Annie and her first husband, your grt grt grandfather. I would love to share information with you and maybe i have stuff you haven't and vice versa.
Annie is the link to my tree as her mother is a 3x grt aunt to me. I have been trying to find her siblings for years but so far to no avail and also i haven't found Annies death yet.
I live in Dorset!!!

I don't know her religion.

If John's father was James it is James and Parnell Noble of Gwinear. And this is right for our tree.

If Johns father was John then it is not the John i am looking for and the people with trees on the web have gone down the wrong tree.

Not sure where they have got it from !!!

Thanks dathai, for those links. if i cant find anything will have to look into purchasing the certificate

so i have come across the marriage on familysearch and some other websites , myheritage and Geni have the same.
22 Oct 1864 Monksland, Kilmacthomas, Ireland. And it says father of John Noble is a John Noble.

also come across websites that say his father was James Noble as in the family tree at familysearch mentioned above. James Noble in Gwinear, Cornwall is an ancestor in our family tree. He has son John who disappears after the 1851 census.
I have managed to work out that a John Noble and Susan arrived in South Australia in 1865 and followed the family from there.

What would be helpful is if anyone could actually see the transcript of Susan's marriage to see who Johns father actually is.

Some of the family history websites have contributors saying Susans father was born in Cornwall but i do wonder if they have the wrong John Lathlean. Or the family moved to Ireland. I am still working on finding the proof for all this.

Looking for a SUSAN LATHLEAN supposedly born about 1844 in Bunmahon.
Which churches would i look at for her baptism and also her marriage in 1864.
If i have it right right she married a John Noble who was born in Cornwall.
Trying to confirm i have the right people as all his family stayed in Cornwall.
