If it wasn't for my husband....my son would have been named Brooke..
I wanted a girl sooo bad and was suffering Post Natal Depression,,,,so named my son Brooke....
Now he is Daniel,,,,,which my hubby chose,,,,,and later I found out hubby chose it because that song was playing on the radio on the way to hospital...

Hi JM,
No need..
I actually have been transcribing the Canberra/Goulburn Diocese Records for quite some time...
It may have not gone far north but when you put into play how far other Diocese came South??
Goulburn Diocese was one of the earliest here in the Monaro area...
Records dating back to 1840's...

How far did the Coona records go south?
Wasn't uncommon for people to be born one area and baptised in another.

I love my 4x great grandmother. An unmarried mother of 6 children. I would love to go back in time and ask her how she managed to bring them all up and how proud she must have been that they all prospered.

Hi,
If I was in your family,,,she would be my favourite too!!
How on earth did she cope????

Not so old BUT
I checked on my maternal grgrandparents house, which is where my grandparents ended up living. (all deceased now) BUT while doing it I noticed that the house my mum and dad lived in before they divorced was standing ((It was across the road)) which amazed me to no end because I burnt it down when I was a child!!!!!
Obviously I didn't burn it all down as someone has rebuilt it and it looks almost the same as photo's I have (from before I burnt it down)

I didn't burn it on purpose,,,,I was trying to clean it up,,,,(long story)

Hiyas,
With the Esther b1859 to Thomas and Maria in Goulburn area,,,,there is a marriage for an Esther TAYLOR in 1907 to a William HENWOOD nearby,,,then a death in 1937 for Esther HENWOOD parents Thomas and Maria..

Could Esther have possibley come out of gaol, found her children gone,,then moved back 'home' (Goulburn area) to marry late in life????

I see no children to William and Esther to 1910 (doesn't mean much)

Goulburn Diocese was quite large back in 1859 and may have come close to the Coona areas.
