Hi Marylyn,
I guess we're cousins then,  :D  May was my Grandmother.
Besides what there is on this thread, I also have another website at;
http://alongtheline.yuku.com/directory
It has more details.
I have a copy of the original "Lord Burleigh" passenger list form the University of NSW. Plus several certificates.
I can send you an email with a copy of George and Emma's marriage certificate, Duck River, 1873.
DON'T put your email address on here! I will send you a private message later.

Nice to meet a new cousin  :D
Leonie.

Hi Leonie went to cemetery today took some photos of tombstone. Very dishevelled I will go back one day to clean it up.
One problem arose it says that he was 86 when he died so if he died in1910 he would have to have been born in 1824.

Hi,
I'm looking for the birth of George YEATMAN/YATEMAN. c.1828.
I have his marriage certificate, 1873, Australia, his age is 45, place of birth, Somerset, parents Thomas Yateman & Betsy JONES.
He arrived in Australia in 1855, age 26 on passenger list, "Lord Burleigh".
I have searched IGI and many other online sites but can find nothing.
It appears there are actually very few YEATMAN/YATEMAN families in Somerset, most are in Dorset.
Can anyone help please?
Leonie.

Hi, I am interested the life of  George Yeatman He was my great grandfather. He married Eliza - Emma Cooper in Australia in 1873. He died in 1910 and is buried in Rookwood Cemetery, Australia. I am hoping to visit the tombstones of him and Emma soon. His Daughter Florence was my grandmother. I have been told he was born in Coventry Warwickshire England 1833? Any further information would be appreciated. Marilyn
