I think that Birdsall is probably BURNSALL which lies on the R Wharfe.  The church there is very old.  Norton is possibly Norton Tower, or the area near it.  It is an ancient ruin lying on the fell side above the road from Skipton to Rylstone, and not very far from Burnsall.
Cheers

Annie Eliza Moore married Fred Cardus Hall in Halifax in 1913, giving her age as 21.  She came to Yorkshire to work in service. Her father was William Edward Moore who worked  as a ships engineer  for the IOM Steampacket Co.  I understand lived at Ballacrane, Kirk German.  Her sister Bessie married a Tom Collister and lived in Peel I have searched high and low to find them,  without success.  Is there anyone who recognises them?
