Hi, I am a Glen Descendant, my Glen's are from Linlithgow.   I just returned from Scotland and visited Linlithgow while I was there.  It is a small town, the main business street (high street)  has many old businesses that have been there forever(1700 & 1800's) and maybe before.  it is a wonderful place to visit.  If you ever get to visit make sure you get to Linlithgow palace and the church next to it.  There are many Glen's buried there.(my 3rd gr. grandfather and family are buried there!  The train from Edinburgh take abt. 1/2 hour!  Well worth a visit!

Hi,
I have a photo from A. D. Lewis, 5 Hinde ST, Newcastle also.
I think it was taken between 1855 and 1865.  I have my gg grandmother's
photo book.  I have found most of the pictures to be from that era.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
I am not 100 % sure abt. the man in the picture.  I believe it is my 2nd great grandmothers brother.  His name is William Soulsby b. abt 1812.  He lived in the village of Sunny Brown, Auckland, Bishop Auckland.  I do not know of any others in our direct line who lived in that area.  I tried to attach the photo, its not working.
Sorry, I will try again another time.
