« on: Thursday 17 March 05 16:36 GMT (UK)  »
Boys Firmin of Crowborough died late 1890s early1900s. Probably buried in All Saints Church Crowborough. Also his wife, Annie who predeceased him. Would very much appreciate it if someone could give me chapter & verse on the death of my ggg uncle & aunt. Many thanks in anticipation.

Norfolk Lookup Requests / Norcross & Firmin
« on: Wednesday 02 March 05 18:53 GMT (UK)  »
John Norcross was Vicar of St.Andrew's church, Saxethorpe, from 1806 - 1813. Sometime during this period he appears to have adopted, or taken under his wing, 2 boys - John Norcross Firmin & Thomas Norcross Firmin. I assume that the 2 boys were orphans from a family called Firmin. The name Norcross continued to be used in the Firmin name for at least 3 generations. Can anyone help me with the origins of the 2 boys?
Incidentally, John Norcross Firmin was sent to St.Helena by the East India Company as a trainee schoolmaster. He spent his entire life there, rising to the post of Chief Justice & Queen's Advocate for the Island. Thomas Norcross Firmin moved to Southampton & was an accountant by trade.
Would be very grateful for any suggestions or help.
