I miss my nan too. I'm sure I've got a couple of photos of your grandparents too. Hopefully you can pick up the message now with my email? I think we are 3rd cousins and now you've found me you've found a lot more cousins too - are you on Facebook?

My mum always kept touch with your nan by phone, my nan has passed away too several years ago. I met your nan a few times as a child, once when we visited Guernsey and a few times when she visited my nan. Hopefully you can read my message soon and we can talk more. Your nan was lovely.

Hi yes I am in London. I think you need to do 3 posts before you can see private messages - I am really happy this has made my day!

Thank you - the only thing I have is the marriage certificate and it is attached to the previous post that Alexander mentioned, I was recently advised to post just the relevant section of the certificate.  The general consensus before was Kingswell or Fursewell/Furzewell but I still haven't been able to find a match so far.  I've tried contacting the Registry Office where the marriage took place without any luck there either.

Thanks for all your help, Gemma.

Hi

I really need some help please in deciphering the groom's father's middle name to help me trace the groom and his parents.  It is James (illegible) Collins.  I have already contacted the LMA who hold the Parish Registers and they have informed me that their entry has no name for the father just the word "Deceased".  The marriage took place in December 1923, in Woolwich, London.  All help would be much appreciated, many thanks.  Gemma.

I have been trying without success to decipher the name of the groom's father so that I can trace Charles Collins birth and family.  Please can anybody help I can see that it is James ??? Collins.    I don't even know where Charles Collins is from as he was in the Army so he could have been based in Woolwich but potentially born anywhere!!!  The groom, Charles Collins, apparently disappeared not long into the marriage after their child had been born and and apparently absconded from the Army as well and nothing was ever heard about him again!?

Any help or ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.  Gemma
