Kent Lookup Requests / 1851 census Sheerness HARRIS
« on: Saturday 16 April 05 18:28 BST (UK)  »
Is there someone prepared to look for Charlotte HARRIS 32 with 1/2 year old son Sampson in Sheerness?  Father's name was also Sampson but he was in the navy and may be at sea.  I have no place of birth for Charlotte and she had died in 1854 and this seems to be my only hope of finding her birth place. They lived in Chapel Street Mile Town in 1853.
Thankyou

Kent Completed Lookup Requests / Sampson HARRIS

I am trying to find Sampson HARRIS in the 1851 and 1861 census.  In 51 he would have been approx 2yrs old, mother Charlotte father also Sampson but in the Royal Navy and so possibly not there.  Little Sampson had been born in Woolwich Dock yard in 1849.  By 1861 his mother had died in Sheerness and his father had remarried in Tavistock and although I have Sampson the elder with new wife and Sampson the youngers brother and sister there is no sign of him!  I would be grateful if someone could find him for me, maybe in the navy?

I am trying to find the marriage, or any other info regarding Thomas Trussell.  He was married to a Sarah and was living in Great Parndon at the time of his death.  He cut his throat in 1866 and died of exhaustion aged 66!  Is there any way to get newspaper reports, there was a coroner involved?
