I had posted this response on another thread where another member is seeking death records for relatives who died in Fiji.
Death records can be found at the National Archives of Fiji as well as the Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages. Records found at the BDM office are as follows -
Birth Records : 1877 to Current
Marriage Records : 1871 to Current
Death Records : 1877 to Current
Death records will have cause of death, place of death, death informant, as well as typical details such as the deceased's dob, place of birth and parents names (if known).
The National Archives holds records from 1875 but records prior to this and dating as far back as the 1830s can be found within the Methodist Church records which is a separate section of the Archives.
You may have to ask someone to do a manual search for you in Fiji, although actual records can also be found online.
