Suffolk / Re: Brewster family, possibly from Suffolk
« on: Monday 07 October 13 07:51 BST (UK)  »
I am researching the Norfolk Brewsters and just added another child for James & Susannah Brewster - there is James baptized 30.6.1835 in Norwich and Robert George baptized 10.4.1839  Heigham St.Bartholomew Norwich.
If this James Brewster's parents are John Brewster and Catherine Fuller of Forncett St.Peter I have their genealogy.

Stutton Grove School was a boarding school teaching "classical and commercial subjects to young ladies and gentlemen", established by William Stacey in the 1850s at the Stutton end of Garnet Road near Tadcaster, Yorkshire. You can see the large country house still called "Stutton Grove" on "Google Earth".

An advertisement from The Bradford Observer 29.6.1854

The next session will commence July 18th.

And a year later, in The Sheffield and Rotherham Independent  30.6.1855

Re Periam
I have just begun to include this family in my research - the screw manufacturing Periam family lived in Shirley, Solihull. Herbert William Periam b: c.1791 & Mary Jane b: c.1797 Had 3 children that I know of. Herbert Bonnet Periam b: 1879, John Shirley Periam b: 1880 (married Alice Maude Turner), Charlotte Ann Periam b: 1883 (married Arthur Brewster)
The Periam nuts & bolts business is still operating in Birmingham.
An old post I know, & you've probably found this by now, but it is nice to put the families together.
