i find your thread very interesting,my birth grandfather was a jones,his name was william thomas jones born 1920 born b,ham and lived in ladywood
other surnames connected with this tree are sennett/vale/white
iv not carried on with the jones side of the tree yet but will be doing shortly
be great if we had a connection,but with the surname jones perhaps we will never know
i am now a jones by marriage

noticed you have vales in your tree,i also have vales and jones that conect as one family tree
my birth mothers step father was a william jones his mum was a sennett and her mum was a vale
please get intouch if you think there is a conection as iv not progressed with the jones side of my tree
my birth mums dad was born 1920 in b,ham

edwin is living with his wife lucy rodds ne hardman and there son frederick rodds in brum

in 1901 lucy is living with frederick jones she has the name jones but they never married they are also living in brum,i have the birth cert of there son george and it says lucy was formally rodds but it doesnt say she was widowed
also her mum is living with them

edwin was a baker

edwin rodds in your research id love to know hes my biggest mystery he dissapears after 1881 he was born in edmonton in 1859 and was living in brum in 1881 with his wife and son.i cant find death for him,and even sent off for his mothers death cert hoping he was the informer on her death cert but he wasnt

iv just traced one of my hampton family back to 1817 his name is thomas hampton and the son of simeon hampton born 1797 and hannah webb not sure when she was born do any of these connect to your tree

do you have any marriage or birth certs for the hodgkiss family
im a bit bewilderd by the sinces info cus iv got elizabeth surname down as hoskiss so dont know if she a hoskiss,hodgkiss or hodgetts
she is on 1881 living with her grandparents

i have her grandmothers maiden name down as hodgetts who married her grandad thomas hampton

so it all confusing for me at the mo

the marriage cert i was going to send for is reg in 1845 but there first child was born 1839 but of cause she could of been married before
