Yes, I think it is just The Genealogist that has these. However, they date from around 20 years later, and I couldn't see any similar names. I've also just had a brief look in the PRs and not seen anything likely.

I've tried tweaking the image a little and I agree, it might be Apward.

It looks like a description of a piece of land bounded by the lands of John A. Which parish was it in? - it might be possible to find the name in the tithe records.

Powley? Or Pawley? - if you haven't already checked these.

Technical Help / Re: iPad - Two Factor Authentication

2. Every few days, separately from the 2FA reminder, the iPad wants me to "Update Apple ID Settings" because "some account services require you to sign in again". Not doing so doesn't seem to affect my everyday use of the iPad, but when I click through and enter my password, the reminder goes away for a few days. If I enabled 2FA, would that stop me getting these reminders?

2 Go into settings and then into Notifications, turn off all those you do not wish to see.

Maybe I need to look at this again whether I go for 2FA or not. I usually need to give the password when I download or update an app, but I don't know why it keeps asking for it at other times.

....

I'll have a bit of a poke around to see if there's anything for me to add on 2.

I've had a look around now, and most of the items listed in Notifications have them turned off. I can't see anyway that the ones that are still enabled would be producing the notifications that I'm getting, as they refer to unspecified "account services" rather than a specific app or function. Can you think of what might be producing them? And is anyone else getting them?

My first thought was J E Clay, but if so, he's messed up the 'a' and gone back to try to make it right. Or perhaps Cleary, though that would mean the letters are a bit messed up too.

It's hard to see the first initial as anything other than G, though it might just be Y. My best guess for the second is T, but I'm not sure about it. Uncrossed A? Did people ever not cross an A?
