The name doesn't ring a bell but my Family were there earlier.
Check nationalarchives.ie to see where they were in the 1911 census.
Dublinheritage only shows 1939 electoral roles.
For births Marriages+deaths, check the LDS, irishgenealogy and ifhf sites.
You could also contact the resource centre in James's street, it's right beside the RC Church.

Sorry I don't have any pics. There's a site called 'Dublin down memory lane' which can be accessed through Facebook, you could ask the nice people on there, they have lots of great photos. Other sites are Flikr, dublinboards.ie, dublinforum.
What was the name in Bow Lane west, it might jog my memory.

My Dad John Doyle came from 23 Bow Lane.  He was born 1911.
His Mothers Family, the Goughs also lived there. They had a newspaper/sweet shop. The entrance to 23 was like a stable gateway into a yard with rooms on either side. The Kearn's lived next door, they raised chickens. Bow Lane west was a half rural area then where horse+carts loaded with veg +milk would stop for a rest before heading back down the Country to their own homes. They would also stop on the way up from the Country on their way to the markets.
Pals of my Dad from there included Lugs Branigan + Tom Brennan.

Dublin / Re: Byrne, Goodwin, Hand, Hart/Hartney, Harmon

Hi, other names in the family that I still haven't managed to tie are Smyth+Carlin. My mothers uncle, Patrick Goodwin, used to make his way up to Crumlin ( he was blind) to see his relatives- the Carlins or Carolins.
My mother+her brother mentioned Smyth also being related. I remember how they emphasised Smyth with a Y.
The trouble is I don't know which side of the family they came from.
My mothers mothers name was Hand+ her mothers name was Rooney but the evidence points to the Goodwin+Hart/Hartney side of the family.
Funnily enough, I found a Julia Goodwin from Mullhudart marrying another local undertaker-Flanagans of Aungier street.

My mother (Julia Goodwin) allways said that her granny was related to the Harmons of Queen street, (aka Burkes funeral directors).
The Harmons are in the same house in Queen street in the 1901 census of Ire.
So I guess they were either related to the Goodwins or to Julia Hart/Hartney,
who was my ggranmother, she was married to Bernard Goodwin.

The petition to open the 1926 census of Ireland is a joke.
They won't get many To sign simply because they cant.
It's not set up for iPhone + ipad so we can't click on the options.
It just doesn't work.
I wish these IT people would stop acting the Bear+ just have a page that you sign.
End of story.

Wicklow / Re: Eliza Doyle, b about 1845, Baltinglass, Wicklow

Hello again,  if you are sure about the mac or the mc in front of the name, I would suggest you look at the Co. Down side. Mac + Mc tells me it's definately a northern Ireland name as that's where the macs originated from. I'm speaking geographically now, I don't mean just the six counties.
