I found another John Fraser, of the Royal Bank of Scotland too, in an obituary at 1811, in Glasgow.  Obviously, there were a lot of people named John Fraser, but contemporary working at the same bank, probably they had some relationship.

Unfortunately, John Fraser Sr is not under my line of investigation, but I found some reference that could be useful for your research.  In the following link, some details of a transaction involving to John Fraser, representing Bank of Scotland. A company is mentioned, Campbell, Fraser and Co. Is there some relation?

Rev. John Fraser, was married with Charlotte Augusta Mackie, daugther of Alexander Mackie (1775-1859) and Elizabeth Stuart. They came from Aberdeen, with 8 siblings and settled in Chatham. Oldest daugther, Agnes was my gggg-mother, married with Colin Elder from Skye. Charlotte lived some years at Colin Elder s house.

Another daugther, Alexina, was married with Rev. Peter Keay.

Elizabeth Stuart was  daugther of Elizabeth Elder, a sister of my gggggg-father, Colin Elder Senior (1740-1826)
