John henry Buchan Married to laura arabella Shaw in 1868 at Vepery, Madras, India.  He died on the 08 Mar 1909 in Banagalore.  Trying to find who his parents were.  Does anyone have any information on  his parents.

Hi Alan I havn't been researching this line for quite a long time My connection is through Helen Reid
and Robert Bruce Buchan Helen was my fathers sister if you would like a fuller history of your
GGG Grandparents our local family history society at www.buchanroots.co.uk have  done quite a lot
of research into them .Most of the Buchans in this area have bye names to differentiate one Buchan
from another .your  line is the (doodies)  During our local Scottish Week your ancesters were featured
on one of the displays, so if you live locally it can still be seen at Peterhead if you contact the family
history society

              The above information is from my late wifes research and she could find no trace
               of George ,she thought he had died but I have some info on the rest of the family.

 Hi Bilcor
             Elisabeth Cooper died 31 Dec 1889 in PD and is buried in the old kirkyard.
             her parents were William Cooper and Elisabeth Forbes

alexander black was drowned on may 1895 at pittenweem,how can I find out what happened?

  Stephens buildings were at harbour st Boddam four miles south of peterhead

 
    They were demolished quite a few years ago and houses were built on the site
