Have found someone with a tree on ancestry, that has a Amelia Satchell born 1849 in Porstmouth with parents William Satchell born 1815 - 1894 born in Portsmouth married to Jane Sherwell born 1816 - 1857 in Portsmouth, says the info was found for Amelia on the 1851 census but i cannot find it. Would explain if it is Charlotte and Amelias mother why they were in the workhouse in 1861, as she would have only been 41 when she died. Just cannot seem to find them in the 1851 census.
was just going to post this when i saw your post, great minds think alike, seems this is likely to be them.

many thanks again for your help

Hi

I Have found one Alice Turvill living in Surrey, this could be her as this is where her husband William Bashford lived too, need to work back from there, also need to find there marriage birth etc.

Not sure how to get any further back with Charlotte or her possible siblings. doesnt seem to be anything for them before 1861.

thanks

Hello,

I think i am having a blonde moment ???, was getting muddled with Charlottes name being Brooker, and was looking at William Bashford as Annies brother not father . I am trying to find info on William Bashford and his wife Alice, and Charlotte Bashford (Brooker) also have her last name on my tree as Satchell but i have no idea where i got that from as i lost all my records, these are the ones i am having trouble with and keep coming to dead ends. Thought i had found Alice in a workhouse in Portsmouth when she is 6, but nothing more then that no parents etc. :)

Hope that makes sense :-[

many thanks

Hi
What i have is Annies Parents as Alice Turvill 1881 - 1950 and her father as William Bashford 1881, was trying to do more on this tree, this morning, but nothing seems to fit now, so am starting again as i think i have gone wrong. Its Annies mothers line i am trying to do, the trouble is i lost most of my notes in a house fire, so cant remember where or how i found the information i have. Just want to make sure i get it right. I wouldnt want to waste anyones time.

many thanks

Trying to find any information on my nan Annie Bashford who got married in 20th Jan 1920 age 20 to Walter Turner her marriage certificate states her father is William Bashford desceased General Labourer, living at 8 Little Randolph Street. St Pancras, London. Witnesses Minnie Platt, and John Turley?, i never met her as she died before i was born, but is supposedly from Gypsy. Spanish descent, but dont know whether that is true or not.
Any help would be brilliant.
