Windows 7 with Firefox on SSE internet...

I can get in and edit my tree, but all the searchy functions (other than other people's trees) are just hanging into oblivion.

There may be a clue in the 1911 census for Olive, they may have had more children that died in infancy eg 2. have you looked at the image?

Yes, I noticed that was put in and then crossed out, as if it was her but she was not family so it should not have been on the census there.... Looks like grandma was third time lucky on that. 

I think I need to see the marriage cert for the 1920 remarriage between Olive and her new hubby (Charles Robinson) who I know adopted my Grandma as his own.

Ah! Mortlake is a short walk from where Olive was in service (Brondesbury - in the 1911 census!!)

Have you got him in previous census, this might help tie him down to this chap.

I have the marriage indexes from 1904 showing Olive Annie Hovells and Edward Arthur Warner on the same location (yarmouth), season (jan,feb,mar), volume (4b) and page (2).

In addition I have for him:
* the 1901 census showing an Edward Arthur Warner, aged 16, living with his grandparents (his Grandfather is down as a "Livery Stable Keeper") at 22 Pier Plain, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth.
* the 1891 census showing an Edward A Warner, aged 6, born Gorleston, Suffolk, living with his parents Arthur A Warner (Smack owner) and Mary Ann Warner in Lowestoft Road, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth.

and for her:
* the 1901 census showing an Olive Hovell(s), aged 17, born in Hopton in Suffolk, working in service at a house on Lower Cliff Road in Gorleston, Great Yarmouth.
* the 1891 census showing an Olive A Hovells, aged 6, born Hopton in suffolk, living with her (widdowed?) father and siblings in Corton, Suffolk.

Its just that after the marriage (and the army records now! ) he just vanishes from the earth O_o

Really?!! Now that is interesting, as it would be around the time of my g grandma's marriage to "Edward Warner". Does it say anything else about his military service (was he booted out, if so for what....). I'm starting to suspect some shinanegans going on, as grandma wasnt born until 1915 and at that point g grandma was still using the name warner but there seems to be no record of eddy still being around.

This chap was discharged as medically unfit, his former occupation was horsekeeper and he also had a scar on the back of his neck.
