Lanarkshire / Re: Mullin... help to identify a uniform
« on: Monday 14 November 11 08:03 GMT (UK)  »
Thanks for all the helpful replies ! I think the year is around 1920/1925, and this is my grandfather James Mullin from Omagh, Co Tyrone born 1883 and I have no idea when he went to Glasgow. I think he was in the army but I cannot find any military records. I also belive he was a gas lighter which could explain the municiple cap badge. Thanks again for the input.

my gran was named cecelia and she died in 1930, maybe just a few years after this picture. Not sure where the picture was taken, could be Ireland or it could be in Glasgow because I believe he was street gas lighter, maybe I should be looking in Glasgow for a municiple workers badge ?  I think he was invalided out of the army so thought this may have been a military uniform. Thanks so much for your input.

Thanks ! My gmother is Celia, but she died in 1930, I have traced a few of her brothers to USA, but that came to a dead end. The other mcgarrigles are hard to pin down. Hello if you are one of em :-)

Thanks, moving his picture is fine by me, He is my great uncle and I have a fair amount of information on him, what I would like is any information on the rest of his family, mother Catherine, father Mathew, brother Mathew ( my gfather) brother Patrick, sister Kate and brother James. I have very little on all of them.

Thanks Again
